Camp T.N. Spencer Park is a 50-acre park located in Concord, North Carolina. The park is open to both adults and children for a variety of recreational and leisure activities.

  • Camp T.N. Spencer Park includes attractions such as a 1.5-mile trail, a playground, picnic sites, horseshoe pits, eight tent sites (with restrooms and a bathhouse), three fishing ponds, a volleyball court, and six cabins.
  • Those interested in fishing in any of Camp T.N. Spencer Park’s ponds have to adhere to the guidelines laid down by the NC Wildlife Commission. Part of the guideline requires that anyone fishing from the ponds must have a valid NC Wildlife Commission fishing license.
  • Camp T.N. Spencer Park’s swimming pool is open only during certain times of the year—from Memorial Day to Labor Day,
  • The park offers educational opportunities every Friday and/or Saturday night to campers and cabin renters.
  • In 2003, Camp T.N. Spencer Park came into being as a result of an arrangement between the County of Cabarrus and the Cabarrus Boys/Girls Club.
  • Prior to becoming a camp park, the current location of Camp T.N. Spencer Park was a private summer camp that had been in operation since the 1940s.
  • The Camp T.N. Spencer Park TRACK Trail is a looping trail that goes around the park’s perimeter for a little over 1 mile.
  • There are community buildings in the park that can be rented for meetings, weddings, family reunions, gatherings, and other events.
  • The largest pond in Camp T.N. Spencer Park is called is Bear Lake. It is a 2-acre pond located next to the rental cabins and paddleboats. It has an average depth of less than five feet and is stocked every year with channel catfish.
  • Asides from catfish, fishing enthusiasts can catch largemouth bass and sunfish in the park’s ponds.
  • Tobacco and alcohol beverages are not permitted on the park’s premises.
